Microsoft Gold partner status for Stanley Security Solutions

On the 10th October 2007 Stanley Security Solutions Europe qualified as a Microsoft Gold Partner in the Microsoft Partner Program, the highest possible level.

This achievement demonstrates that in dealing with Stanley, customers are assured of a quality, state of the art software solution, designed and supported by our highly skilled staff.

To qualify Microsoft required that the company demonstrated one or more competencies designed to help differentiate a partner's capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to aid customers looking for a particular type of solutions. Stanley achieved the ISV (Independent Software Vendor)/ Software Solutions Competency and the Data Management Solutions Competency.

Furthermore Stanley is required to employ a certain number of staff who are qualified as Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP). Stanley has met this requirement, employing several such people in various departments.

Stanley has also had a number of products independently tested by VeriTest against the rigorous standards required by Microsoft. All of the products tested met the standards first time.

This new partnership will benefit Stanley Security Solutions by granting in-depth access to exclusive resources and early product information. These resources include priority access to a support team of Microsoft certified systems engineers, non-disclosure evaluation of new products and technologies, planning tools and events to keep up to speed on the latest Microsoft product developments and future direction.

Stanley tunes East Midlands social housing sector in to digital TV

A three year contract by Blick TV Distribution Systems, part of Stanley Security Solutions, to provide digital TV access for hundreds of housing association tenants in the East Midlands has received the thumbs up from residents with an impressive 93% tenant satisfaction rating.

Phase 1 of the project for the East Midlands Housing Association (EMHA) began in August this year and by the time it is completed in December, 660 more dwellings will have Digital Freeview or Sky Digital access.  Two further phases of similar size will continue in 2007 and 2008 by which time some 2,000 dwellings across the entire region will be affected.

The work by Stanley involves the installation of Digital Integrated Reception Systems, digital aerial networks which overcome the need for individual aerials or the proliferation of often unsightly satellite dishes.

Once installed, residents will have the opportunity to subscribe to Sky Digital or purchase a Freeview box, something which will become increasingly important as the Government works towards a completed analogue TV switch-off by 2010.

In communal social housing or blocks of flats, responsibility for upgrading old analogue communal systems to new Digital Integrated Reception Systems falls to the landlords and many, like East Midlands turn to Stanley which, with over 30 years experience of providing communal aerial solutions, has vast experience in the social housing sector.

EMHA’s property services officer, Richard Rae commented: “Having successfully negotiated the tender process to land this contract, Stanley has delivered a first class service that has been widely praised by most of those residents who have been affected by the conversion process.

“Responding to an internal satisfaction survey, our tenants have praised the excellent professionalism and workmanship shown by Stanley and the polite, friendly way in which the installations were carried out and the benefits explained to residents.”

We need to demonstrate the significant economies of scale our digital TV distribution solutions can bring to the social housing sector and at the same time positive feedback from satisfied customers such as EMHA is always very welcome and encouraging.”
